SERVING THE COMMUNITIES OF MOZAMBIQUE
Our Approach
CCA has led the effort to implement hundreds of national partnerships in Mozambique to encourage job creation, education & sport, provide clean water, mobile medical clinics, and provide emergency disaster relief. CCA's Mozambican staff are the true heroes that give CCA its uniqueness and effectiveness to reach communities needing relief and change. Their focus is to create tangible solutions to solve physical and healthcare needs. Their responsibilities range from teaching educational and sports mentorship programs, to providing small business expertise, to repairing water wells to community counsel and offering practical medical aide. From its humble beginnings until today CCA has assisted over 17,000 thousand rural communities and national leaders.

Encouraging Education
In Mozambique students are required to wear a school uniform to school every day. Many parents and students are unable to purchase a school uniform and this keeps children from attending school. CCA works with local tailors to manufacture thousands of uniforms for students in need every year.
A new uniform makes students excited to attend school and gives incentive to continue their studies. CCA works closely with Social Welfare and the Ministry of Education in Mozambique to target the most impoverished communities that have the weakest school participation. At each new school uniform distribution students are assembled and given a message by CCA national staff that encourages them to continue to study and love one another to change their lives, families, villages and their country.
Well Repairs
Providing clean water, coupled with health and hygiene education, is the most effective measure we can take in preventing infectious disease. CCA works in southern Mozambique to provide clean water, promote safe hygiene practices and encourage local maintenance.
CCA's Mozambican native staff have training and many years of experience in water well maintenance and pump repair. We have a partnership with Social Welfare and the Rural Water District with access to
their database. A small team of one or two CCA national staff members set out with their vehicle, Afridev well pump accessories and basic tools and will sometimes spend two days in each community needing a well pump repaired. During this time the well is repaired, two local technicians are trained for future maintenance, and an active water committee is formed. The local community has little funds to contribute and are subject to high prices for well accessories due to the communities distance from the nation's capital where all accessories are sold. In many cases the transport for the community to send a member to the capital to purchase pump accessories for repairs can double or quadruple the price of the well repair. By purchasing supplies in bulk and using CCA's native technicians for repairs we offer an affordable solution to Mozambique's manual well pump maintenance problem.
Mobile Medical Clinics
CCA helps to set up mobile medical clinics in the most rural communities to offer free, compassionate healthcare to those in need. In this area of the world HIV, waterborne disease, malaria and tuberculosis have caused life expectancy to decline to around 50 years. The mortality rate with children under the age of 5 is one of the highest in the world. People are unnecessarily suffering and dying from simple sicknesses. We invite volunteer medical teams to work alongside us in in the most rural and needy communities.
Sports Programs
Sports is a fun way to connect with kids worldwide. It is proven to be one of the most effective ways to communicate a message or moral lesson. CCA's staff facilitate Kids Games experiential learning for Mozambican schools in the Inhambane and Sofala Provinces. Through Kids Games students learn lessons about love, speaking truth and encouragement, honesty, team work, communication, the value of education and have a lot of fun while doing it.
These activities are often paired with a school uniform distribution. Teachers, students and parents all benefit from the fun and result of encouraged character.
Job Creation
CCA's model is to encourage TRADE not AID. If you employ, you will empower. We work with certified fair trade community projects, where materials are ethically sourced and artists receive a fair-trade rate.
In turn the customer receives a unique, beautiful product that comes with a truly transformative story while helping to build and encourage the local, ethically sourced and artists receive a fair-trade rate.

Emergency Disaster Relief
CCA has been involved in providing emergency disaster relief since 2007 when Cyclone Favio hit Inhambane province. Our focus is to provide immediate relief by providing seed and food distributions, shelter & rebuilding materials and medical relief in partnership with INGC, WFP and local leaders.
During Cyclone Idai, CCA partnered with International Relief Teams and Kids Around the World to provide over 1 million meals to families with relief provided by our small but dedicated staff.
